PORT ORCHARD, WA—Port Orchard Football Club was fortunate enough to have DaveSPN broadcast replays of the club’s June 25 match at Steel United, July 2 home match versus Grays Harbor Gulls and July 9 home match versus Twin City Union.
“DaveSPN,” a name play on sports channel “ESPN,” is actually the Youtube video channel of Dave Radovich. His channel was founded in 2006 and has over 33,000 views.
Radovich films soccer matches, including those of his sons Jack and Peter as they played elite soccer with local clubs and at their high school Bellarmine Prep.
Dave knows Port Orchard FC players Connor Louden and Michael Divano. So he decided to show up when POFC visited Tacoma on June 25. He had such a fun time that he also came out to Port Orchard on July 2 for the big match against Grays Harbor.
Radovich has his own down-home style. He does his thing and is not officially associated with POFC. The club did provide Dave with a “color chart” so he could learn names and facts about the Port Orchard roster. This came into play in the Grays Harbor match as Radovich did humorous riffs on Aidan Harvey’s hatred of cucumbers and Caleb Tucker’s age.
