PORT ORCHARD, WA—Dominik Pajimola has scored some sweet goals for Port Orchard FC in the club’s debut season. He sits on six after his latest, which might just be his best.

The goal came on Sunday July 9 in POFC’s 3-0 win over Twin City Union that clinched the Pacific Division title. It took a moment for the crowd to understand that the ball was in the back of the net.
The nature of the goal was almost slow-motion in real time, but it took a slow motion replay in the highlight reel to reveal what Jeffrey Pickering and Pajimola had combined to do.

Pickering powered towards the endline and sent a ball back into Pajimola who was alone as an attacker in the penalty area. Feeling the oncoming presence of defenders, Dominik positioned himself to receive the ball. As he says in the video, from there he knew it needed to be a right-healed redirection.
It was planned. It worked. It was one of the goals of the season.
