PORT ORCHARD, WA—The Kitsap Sun and the Kitsap Daily News / Port Orchard Independent both covered Port Orchard FC’s debut season with multiple articles. The reporting reached a crescendo on Cascadia Premier League Championship / Promotion weekend.
Jeff Graham and the Kitsap Sun featured POFC seven times in the club’s debut season. Eli Meyer and the Kitsap Daily News also shared seven stories on the new men’s elite soccer team.
Championship weekend was covered by the Sun with front page sports full color photos, including one taken by POFC Coordinator David Falk.

POFC Assistant General Manager Tyler Brown took photos of the papers as the newsprint hit the stands. Taking it a step further to honor the club’s first-season accomplishments, Brown created a display that greets customers as they enter Port Orchard Spiro’s Pizza and Pasta.
“We are very grateful to have local newspaper coverage of Port Orchard FC,” says Coordinator Falk. “They played an important part in sharing the community excitement behind the team on the road to the championship and promotion. They featured our players and coaches and gave Kitsappers a glimpse into what we are building in Port Orchard.”
