Harbor Haute Dogs Partners with POFC to Create New Marina Sunset Training Jersey

PORT ORCHARD, WA—Port Orchard Football Club’s new partnership with Harbor Haute Dogs is already sailing into the sunset. A Port Orchard “Marina Sunset,” that is. The hyper popular gourmet hot dog eatery, located in the Port Orchard Town Square, has made it possible for POFC to dress for success, even in training. They are on the front of a custom jersey that features waterfront icons and the colors of a Port Orchard sunset.

This Partnership Is A Weiner

Harbor Haute Dogs moves their gourmet dogs with a combination of amazing flavors and a side dish of social media humor. The weiner puns fly fast and furious and it’s all part of the winning forumula.

“I am really excited and enthusiastic about this partnership with Harbor Haute Dogs,” says POFC General Manager of Business Sam Ironside. “I have been a follower and frequent customer of theirs for numerous years now and have loved watching them grow. Alex and Guy are amazing people, have great personalities and I can’t wait to work with them over a full season. Harbor Haute Dogs are (or at least should be) a Port Orchard staple so partnering with them is a great catch for the club. It is a connection I have tried to build for the last year so I am thrilled to have them on board.”

Cooking Up A Custom ‘Sunset’

Even as Ironside was closing details with Harbor Haute Dogs, he was also looking at introducing a jersey featuring their logo and something else which had caught his eye.

The final product: The actual shirt was adjusted with a sunset “fade” to highlight the icons and bring in more color.

“With the introduction of our new training jerseys I wanted to explore something different for the new season,” Sam explains. “I have always had a love of bold colors and with the design I wanted to evoke unique aspects of Port Orchard. The primary inspiration came from the mural created by Danielle Rimbert on the walking trail down by the waterfront and the fact that it is a very visible and very well-known part of what makes Port Orchard what it is.”

Levo Brings It All Together

It was up to Levo Soccer, who already delivered gorgeous 2024 Official Match Kit designs, to listen to input from Sam and the club about something completely beyond the club’s color palatte.

Eventually waterfront icons were brought in as silhouettes against a sunset-colored background. The club could be hyper local with these new jerseys. “Siren’s Song” by James Kelsey sits above the walkway at the Port Orchard foot ferry dock. A Makah totem stands guard. The Carlisle II is a floating museum.

“It’s certainly a new look for us,” says POFC Club Coordinator David Falk. “But we love the truly local touches and feel very fortunate to have Harbor Haute Dogs on board to make our first-ever training jersey become a reality. We think the community will appreciate the risks we are taking and the waterfront lore we are honoring with this new look. Even at practice POFC players will represent our community.”

The Marina Sunset training jersey will be available to order soon along with the other new jerseys for 2024. Watch for an announcement on GoPOFC.com sharing when the new POFC Levo Online Store opens.
