Port Orchard FC Fans Celebrate Their Club While Visiting Japan

TOKYO, JAPAN—Port Orchard Football Club fans and players have visited Japan in recent months and confirmed the Pacific Northwest’s special connection with the country. They also took the time and effort to represent POFC and send some videos and images back home.

Shannon is spending time in Japan due to her work with Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS.) She and a friend made a famous intersection trek when they walked the Shibuya Crossing holding a POFC flag. See the video above that shows the march from high above and street level.

Shannon also took her Port Orchard FC flag on a tour of other sites around the Yokosuka Naval Base. See photos above.

Last fall a fan sent us a photo of a relative who unfurled a POFC scarf in Sasebo, Japan. See the photo above.

Recently POFC announced the return of defender Porter Herbig to the club for 2025. The announcement came while Porter was visiting Japan, so he sent the club a video from the slopes of Niseko.

Recently POFC midlfielder Kolby Juarez had a memorable visit to the Land of the Rising Sun as well.

Even AI is taking notice of the POFC-Japan ‘connection,’ as this google search result shows.

Ganbatte! POFC!
