Gaffer Max In PO For Video And Photo Shoot

PORT ORCHARD, WA—Newly announced POFC Head Coach Max Sampson dropped into Port Orchard on Saturday December 6 to get a tour of the town from Club Coordinator David Falk and Super Volunteer Peter Zastrow.

Max’s visit aligned with Holiday on the Bay, and the club used the time to also shoot episodes of “Let’s Go Gaffer” and take some photos.

Max checked in at South Kitsap Regional Park, Kitsap Bank Stadium at South Kitsap High School, Manchester (for that downtown Seattle view) and Downtown PO for the start of the holiday festival. Max also posed for a photo by the 2026 POFC Christmas tree decorated by Super Volunteer Shannon Tierney.

The first 4 episodes of Let’s Go Gaffer are now online on the POFC YouTube channel. They are also embedded below.

It’s been a whirlwind couple of weeks for Sampson. He made the Kitsap Sun, Yahoo! Sports, Kitsap Daily News and Port Orchard Independent with his announcement as new POFC gaffer.

“We really enjoyed showing Max around the area,” says Falk. “He is excited and anxious to become part of the community. He loved Port Orchard’s beauty and waterfront access. He can’t wait to return to Kitsap Bank Stadium and start the business of building our 2026 roster.”

The first 4 episodes of “Let’s Go Gaffer” were filmed at the banquet / event room on the upper floor at Brick House 714 Bar and Grill.
