‘Refreshed’ EPLWA Already Impressing Port Orchard FC

PORT ORCHARD, WA–Port Orchard Football Club was announced as a new member of the Evergreen Premier League on December 19, 2025. Since then the front office of the club have already had numerous interactions with the folks running the league.

Prompt Communication

“We are very pleased with our experiences so far in the EPLWA,” says POFC Club Coordinator David Falk. “POFC were welcomed with a press release / news article. Behind the scenes the communication has been prompt and consistent,” says Falk. “John Crouch the keeps us updated on what the league is planning and even asks our opinion on things.”

Quick Reply Time

The less glamorous side of running an adult soccer team includes things like getting insurance, certificates, scheduling matches, and communicating with league officials. POFC General Sam Ironside reports that a request by Port Orchard FC for insurance certificates required for field and stadium rentals was met fully and promptly by EPLWA in a few short days.

David Falk presents WestSound FC with a plaque honoring their 2014 debut in the Evergreen Premier League at Olympic High School’s stadium. WSFC were continued by the Olympic Force in 2015 to keep EPLWA alive in Kitsap. In 2026 the league returns locally with POFC.

Full Circle

“We know there are challenges in running a statewide league,” Falk acknowledges. The EPLWA was founded in late 2013 to tackle those challenges head on. “The league has always believed in the idea of big clubs in small towns. In community. In making soccer just one aspect of a larger celebration.” Falk speaks from experience. He was the media director and a co-founding member of the EPLWA back when it started.

“Now we are in 2026, and my hometown is entering a team in a league I helped create,” David ponders. “It’s a full circle moment for me and an opportunity for Kitsap to keep creating whatever POFC will become.”

Refreshed

The Evergreen Premier League is ‘refreshed’ for 2026. The Premiership (D1) and Championship (D2) will be complemented with a new women’s division. Not only this, but the league has rebranded with a logo that stands alone for each division and blends the whole as well.

Getting Ready For 2026

Next interactions between POFC and EPLWA will likely be announcing the lineup of Premiership teams for 2026, followed by putting together the club’s official league schedule. “We are off to a promising start with the league,” Falk concludes. “It’s nice to be back again.”
