PORT ORCHARD, WA—Port Orchard Football Club will send goalkeeper Austin Valdez and center back Ethan Bell to the CPL All Stars team that will match up against the Seattle Sounders U20 side in a special match on Sunday night June 28.
The Cascadia Premier League (CPL), where Port Orchard played for three seasons, invited Evergreen Premier League (EPLWA) clubs to submit names of players worthy of recognition and the experience of playing at the Sounders fields. POFC submitted Austin, Ethan and Aidan Harvey. The CPL chose two of the three Tall Firs.

“This is an exciting opportunity for Austin and Ethan to compete against a high level Sounders development team,” says POFC Coordinator David Falk. “We appreciate the CPL opening up this all star roster to players in the EPLWA. It’s a great gesture of working together on behalf of players from both leagues.”
The match is scheduled for the Sounders training fields in Renton on Sunday night June 28 at 8 PM.

Our All Stars
Austin Valdez is well known to POFC supporters. He’s the goalkeeper whose stellar performances led Port Orchard to the 2025 CPL title. He has continued his great play for the Tall Firs in 2026 in the EPLWA, having been named Man of the Match for Bellingham away. Austin lives in Seattle and attends Western Oregon University. Austin was second team All-GNAC last year. He was named Defensive player of the Week in the GNAC. He was named to the GNAC playoffs All-Tournament team as Western Oregon won their league.

Ethan Bell is new to POFC this year. He has already made an impact at center back and become a crucial part of the club’s defense. Ethan is just on the other side of the bridge at University Place where he graduated from Curtis High. He now plays for Whitworth University in Spokane. Ethan was a first team All-South Puget Sound League player each of his four years at Curtis. He was named Defender of the Year his sophomore, junior and senior seasons and helped his team to a league title as a sophomore.
