Mayor Proclaims August 27 POFC Day in Port Orchard

PORT ORCHARD, WA—Port Orchard Mayor Rob Putaansuu issued a proclamation honoring the 2023 season of Port Orchard Football Club during a championship gathering on Sunday August 27 at Marina Park in Downtown.

The Mayor presented a copy of the proclamation to POFC Club Coordinator David Falk and then read the document to the crowd.

The celebration began with a 6-minute audio clip of CPL2 Championship Match play-by-play highlights from friend of the club Dave Radovich being played by DJ and Host Steven Stanton. The crowd listened intently to the presentation. When the Mayor read his proclamation next, the crowd stopped the reading several times with rounds of applause.

Falk spoke to the gathering about the very beginning days of POFC and how the community rallied behind the idea of the club.
