PORT ORCHARD, WA—Port Orchard Football Club have only tied 3 matches in their 4 year history. The previous two both had goals. On June 7, 2026 at Kitsap Bank Stadium, before 346 fans, a 0-0 goalless tie with FC Olympia became the first no-goal match in team history.
POFC played well, possessed well, and clicked as a group. They also hit the post in both halves (See reel above) but never got that extra inch of favorable bounce to put one through.
FC Olympia takes the first year of the Captain’s Cup 4-1 on aggregate. The tie also damages POFC’s playoff hopes as the Tall Firs drop to 5th place in the standings with just 3 matches left to play.
In coverage from the Kitsap Daily News, Port Orchard midfielder Sam Meade noted improvement. “I think that was the first time that we had, like, the most chemistry on the field,” Meade said. “We moved the ball around really well.”
Head coach Max Sampson wanted his guys to take more shots in the second half. “I refocused the guys, and I said, look, we need to be greedier with attacking. I think we were actually playing a bit too much football and trying to connect an extra pass.”

The match was hosted by South Kitsap Soccer Club. They raised funds for their scholarship program. Port Orchard’s record after the result is 1-2-2 (W-L-T) with 5 standing points. FC Olympia are 2-1-2 with 8 standing points and currently sit 3rd in the table.
