PORT ORCHARD, WA—Port Orchard Football Club will host three friendlies as a part of the club’s 2024 season. Along with playing 8 matches in the Rainier Division of the Cascadia Premier League, POFC will also host Steel United, FC International and FC Oly Artesians.
The addition of three friendlies boosts POFC’s 2024 home slate to seven matches. This makes home season passes, which start at just $25, even more of a bargain.

Puyallup club Steel United will send their CPL2 team over the bridge to Port Orchard on Sunday May 19 for a 3 PM friendly at Kitsap Bank Stadium. The clubs met twice last year as POFC won promotion. Steel also made the 2023 playoffs but fell in penalty kicks in a dramatic semifinal against Nido Aguila Club America Seattle.

FC International is an upcoming side with exciting offensive power and the ability to recruit college guest players from the Olympia area. They were founded in 2016 and in recent matches scored 13 goals in a win in the WSASA Super Cup and 7 goals in a wild 7-5 friendly win at Grays Harbor Gulls of the CPL2. Recent guest players for FCI include POFC midfielder Kolby Juarez, who is expected to wear a home kit when the teams meet on Sunday July 14 at 3 PM at Kitsap Bank Stadium.

FC Oly took CPL club Lacey Lights under their umbrella and put them in the Evergreen Premier League this year. The magic of soccer connections played a role as Artesians EPLWA head coach Nick Boatright and POFC gaffer Patrick Leonard networked to create this friendly. Now the two will meet in a match on Saturday night July 20 with a 6 PM kickoff at Kitsap Bank Stadium. FC Oly will also be running their USL2 men’s and CPL women’s teams over the summer.

“We are happy to be able to bring more high level soccer to Port Orchard this season,” says POFC Club Coordinator David Falk. “Thanks to GM Sam Ironside for helping us expand our schedule with these matches. They will give our talented players more exposure and playing time and they will supply our supporters with more chances to watch Port Orchard FC soccer at Kitsap Bank Stadium.”
