Tyler Brown Joins Port Orchard FC As Assistant GM

PORT ORCHARD, WA—Port Orchard Football Club is pleased to announce that lifelong PO resident Tyler Brown is joining the Cascadia Premier League men’s soccer team as Assistant General Manager.

Tyler will work with Club Coordinator David Falk and General Manager Sam Ironside in further establishing and operating POFC in the community.

“My first impression when hearing about POFC was ‘I have to be involved with this.’ Semi-pro soccer, in my little hometown of Port Orchard is a dream I never expected to see come to light,” Tyler says.

“Now that it’s here, and I get to be involved, I’m over the moon excited to see what we can do. I hope to be a solid asset to the team, and help bring a little more of Port Orchard to the club.” Brown is a manager at Port Orchard Spiro’s Pizza and Pasta which has already opened its arms to POFC.

Falk is happy for the addition. “Tyler is already helping POFC as a business person and supporter, so now we are making our connections more official going forward. The club will be stronger for it.”

Ironside agrees. “Tyler’s already done a ton and his local connections are going to be very important for Port Orchard FC.”

Brown has lived in Port Orchard his whole life. He grew up playing soccer for the South Kitsap Soccer Club for about ten years, and that’s where his passion for soccer began. Since then he’s become a very active member of the soccer community around Port Orchard. Tyler is on the SK Soccer Club board, coached a team of U6 boys this last fall for the outdoor season, and then a session of indoor soccer with the same team. He enjoys playing indoors at the Bremerton Sports Center and also represents SKSC at the regional youth level in the Northwest Sound Youth Soccer Association.
